Senior Financial Analyst

Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented individual with a strong business acumen and well-rounded experience across FP&A and accounting.  Reporting into the Finance Manager, this position’s responsibilities include supporting the financial planning and budgeting processes, analyzing financial statements and reports, developing financial models, preparing projections, and performing research and analysis as may be required by leadership.  As a Senior Financial Analyst, this position will also be responsible for providing project teams with financial guidance and working with the in-house Regional Business Centre to ensure smooth and timely monthly close.

Responsibilities include:
  • Supports the preparation and submission of annual plan, quarterly forecasts, monthly outlook, monthly ops review, weekly secured/revenue/SINC tracking, and ad-hoc requirements
  • Supports the Financial Controller and Finance Manager in working with business and functional leaders to drive business and financial objectives
  • Works with in-house Regional Business Centres to ensure smooth month end closing and accurate/timely reporting within prescribed deadlines
  • Supports the Finance Manager in the establishment & monitoring of business Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Secured, Revenue, GM, SINC, ATWC, FCF
  • Supports the Finance Manager to monitor monthly spending within budgeted levels 
  • Supports the Financial Controller on driving overall cash collection and credit control activities
  • Supports the Finance Manager to develops & implements processes & models for improving accuracy, timeliness & completeness of financial results & reporting
  • Ensures timely response to regional, APAC and Corporate requests and queries
  • Performs monthly review of Project Portfolio Report (including WIP, UBR/BIE) to monitor project health, drive and support timely resolution of issues, and identify/drive opportunities in revenue acceleration and margin improvements
  • Prepares calculations of incentives and commissions
  • Supports the Finance Manager and Corporate Finance Services/Corporate Tax teams in annual external audit and tax filing where required
  • Ensures compliance with Corporate Policies, US-GAAP, legal, statutory, tax and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements
  • Performs any other duties from time to time, whether ad hoc or otherwise, as assigned by Financial Manager
  • Ensures high level of ethics & internal controls environment at all times

Specialist Experience


  • Bachelor's degree in business, accounting or finance from a recognized university. CMA, CPA, MBA all considered pluses
  • 6 years and above working experience.  Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role, with demonstrated cost management / accounting and financial control experience 
  • Self-starter, results-oriented and possesses a can-do attitude
  • Strong business acumen and proven track record in working with business leaders to drive business performance in line with country and regional growth objectives
  • Mature, articulate and possess excellent people management skills
  • Proficiency in HFM, major ERP and Microsoft Office.  
  • Strong knowledge in the engineering/construction industry
  • Understanding of and proficiency in US GAAP and international accounting standards, and good comprehension of Sarbanes-Oxley
  • Fluency in English is required
