We are looking fora Business Development Director for Milano, they will be responsible for all aspects of the sales process; from identifying targets, establishing a pipeline, identifying and creating compelling proposals through to closing and converting new client business for SGK Brandimage. Based in Milano, they will work closely with the Paris office. 

 

Job Responsibilities

Scope of Responsibilities
 

  • Secure New Customers– Lead the New Business Development efforts of the organization, in a classic “hunter” role. Identify, secure and expand strategic, profitable long-term customer engagements. 

 

  • Expand Revenue via Cross-Sell– The Business Development Director will play a key role in supporting the team with identifying new business opportunities with existing customers. 

 

  • Solutions Thought Leadership– The Business Development Director is responsible for ongoing understanding of key customer practices and insights to continually identify future value-added solutions of mutual benefit to the customer and to SGK Brandimage. 

 

  • Contribute to Broader European Growth– Promote the SGK Brandimage end-to-end brand strategy, design and creative content production. The Business Development Director is expected to participate in and maintain an active role in company-wide efforts to geographically expand SGK services and solutions, regionally in Italy.

Candidate Profile
 
 

  • “Hunter Role”– Track record of effectively developing new business with new strategic customers using a systemic approach to managing a portfolio of new opportunities through the sales funnel. While the key focus of the role is new business with new customers, there is also an expectation that this role will help sell new opportunities within existing customers (e.g., cross-selling) in collaboration with the SGK Brandimage resources handling ongoing customer business.

 

Qualifications / Requirements

 

• College degree (e.g. Bachelor of Arts) or equivalent degree within appropriate discipline such as degree or equivalent education in Marketing, Business Administration, Graphic Management Services or Design or other related fields such as fine arts or fashion, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key accountabilities of the job required.
• Graduate degree or MBA (Masters of Business Administration) preferred.
 
Experience
 

  • Strong previous experience within an agency brand, design environment 
  • Strong understanding of digital content creative and production. 
  • Proven track record of being a successful Business Development Senior Manager/Director in previous roles.
  • Knowledgeable and well connected across the Brand, design and marketing industry
  • CRM database management including Salesforce
  • Passionate, energetic and proactive attitude
  • Strategic and creative and have the ability to think out the box.
  • Exceptional presentation skills
  • Experience of negotiating commercial agreements and have the capability to take a lead through to completion
  • Managing relationships with senior clients and with managing a team
