We are looking for a Strategic Account Manager to join our AWS Nordics Startup Team in Helsinki. Our team works with world leading startups including Supercell, iZettle, Tradeshift, Rovio & Klarna. As an Account Manager in this team, you will have the exciting opportunity to work with leading startups to help drive their growth, shape the future of emerging technology, and increase adoption of AWS.

You will have a passion for the latest technology trends and work with customers that leverage state-of-the-art technologies on AWS to innovate and disrupt their industries. The ideal candidate will possess both the business acumen to drive engagements at the Founder/CxO level as well a level of technical sales background that enables she/he to engage with CTOs and technical decision makers. You will speak the language of late stage startup founders and can frame the distinctive value provided by AWS to customer CXOs. You should be a self-starter with entrepreneurial mindset who is enjoys helping customers and has a consistent desire to learn. Beyond supporting specific customers you will participate in business planning that underpins AWS' development of the Finnish market; driving the strategy that will enable AWS to better serve our customers.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Startup leadership to define account strategies and identify opportunities to drive business expansion
  • Collaborate with colleagues from across Amazon & AWS globally to execute against an annual sales plan and deliver value for our startup customers.
  • Manage a territory of the Nordics most successful startups.
  • Create compelling value propositions around AWS services for Startups.
  • Expect moderate travel, mainly within Nordics countries.


Specialist Experience

Basic Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in Sales, Consulting, Finance, Business Development experience in technology or startup related roles.
  • Experience in owning, managing and delivering against complex business engagements.
  • Passion and interest in the latest Startup & technology industry trends.
  •  Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • A strong sense of ownership, drive, sense of urgency and scrappiness is a must – this is a hands-on role

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA, Business or master’s degree in Finance, or equivalent relevant business experience
  • Experience working at a Startup or within a Startup related role a plus.
  • Prior experience working in or with cloud service providers, SaaS providers, analytics or AI/ML companies
