Embed the Demand Forecasting processes to support the Supply Chain Operating model and Core Commercial Cycle.

· Manage end to end demand forecasting (both volume and value) across multiple categories to improve customer service levels and reduce end-to-end COGS and working capital

· Partner with sales and TMKT team to generate baseline and promotional forecasts with high accuracy across relevant categories. Utilise data sources such as Nielsen scan and IMS.

· Partner with Category & Shopper Marketing and Consumer Marketing teams to generate forecast assumptions for NPI, Media investment, Shopper activations, competitor activity etc.

· Build a detailed understanding of seasonality and other market drivers for all brands within your categories.

· Embed processes to support key account and trade channel specific forecast capability to drive enhanced service levels and reduced working capital requirements

· Promote a ‘one number’ mindset to drive business decision making and forecast transparency / functional accountability

· Prepare Demand Forecasting inputs into the key Core Commercial Cycle (CCC) meetings including Demand Review / Supply review and regional S&OP meetings.

· Ensure appropriate identification and understanding of demand forecast changes against short and long term horizons to support effective supply chain function. Provide key inputs to support E2E Supply Chain thinking and effective decision making

· Provide decision support to the Head of Demand Planning and cross functional teams as required.

· Integrate Trade Spend / Net Sales inputs to ensure forecast decisions prioritise cost effective, net sales delivery.

· Work with Sales teams to identify cost effective deployment of trade spend promotional monies.

· Contribute to and lead significant projects to transform the operating model, and deliver the benefits required including gross to net, complexity reduction, cost of goods and working capital reductions etc

· Embed baseline statistical modeling and integration of existing forecast platforms to deliver enhanced forecast accuracy

· Prepare long range volume forecasts for Plan submission and Mid Year/Calendarization Review.

· Coordinate cross functional teams to deliver sales gap closing opportunities as required.

· Internal measurement and reporting of demand forecasting KPIs to drive improvements in forecast accuracy and bias, working capital and customer service

Specialist Experience

· In depth knowledge of Demand Forecasting, SAP environment

· Minimum 3 years experiences in Commercial Sales / Marketing / Demand Forecasting / Finance operations in an FMCG environment.

· Qualification in a supply chain related discipline, logistics, supply management, demand management, operational management or MBA desirable.

· Strong planning ability & able to work on own initiative.

· Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to lead cross functional teams.

· Highly numerate and good knowledge of supply chain forecasting / trade spend software systems and processes. Knowledge of SAP APO is an advantage.

· Detailed understanding of business environment and ability to debate complex issues with peers, seniors & colleagues.

· Proactively seeks opportunities to increase value by raising standards & championing best practices.
