Commercial Partnering and Development Manager – South Europe

Job Description

This role will support Regional Leaders at GE Renewables in origination, structuring and execution of co-development / development opportunities through strategic partnerships / platforms with developers and investors to enable the pull through of GE equipment and services (across the portfolio of technologies) while creating incremental value add for the Customers and GE.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Support Regional Leaders in origination of new co development and development opportunities across target regions consistent with and supporting GE Renewables strategic plans
  • Coordinate project(s) due diligence and partner joint development agreement negotiations
  • Participate in structuring strategic partnership agreements with developers and investors to maximize project value and returns, equipment pull through, development returns and customer value while creating opportunities to drive new business models
  • Champion screened deals within the organization by accurately communicating critical elements of deal progress, economics and risks to leadership team throughout the approval process
  • Participate in project-related contract negotiations such as PPAs, BOP, land lease and grid interconnection agreements as well as financing of the projects (in collaboration with GE EFS as required)
  • Evaluate, draft and negotiate agreements alongside legal counselPerform financial pro-forma evaluation of projects
  • Perform financial pro-forma evaluation of projects.Formulate and implement project development plans and manage development budgets within the JV strategy and business plan
  • Maintain partnership relationships and manage risks in projects
  • Serve as an advisor to customers, GE’s local sales teams and GE’s local finance teams on all aspects of development across the target region
  • Ensure coordination of all deal execution tasks within the internal approval processes and stakeholders as well as supporting in the drafting of all required documentation


Specialist Experience


  • Min. Bachelor's degree or equivalent knowledge or experience
  • MBA or Masters in Finance an advantage
  • Proven experience in an infrastructure development or private equity environment, including deal structuring/execution of complex financial products, strategic alliance negotiation experience and/or capital markets exposure with proven energy industry experience
  • Proven track record of evaluating and executing development/private equity deals in the energy industry
  • Experience evaluating, drafting and negotiating legal documentation
  • Experience of the energy markets
  • EU Work Permit
