We are hiring an exceptional program manager to help drive our hyper-scale Azure business forward globally with strategic customers in key geographies and industries.

To succeed in this role, you need to be comfortable partnering with customers, understanding their Azure strategy – helping to break down platform adoption blockers and working across Azure teams to solve problems.   These are complex projects, requiring all resources in Microsoft – both field and corporate.   You need have relentless focus on maximizing the business benefit to our customers and Microsoft. You must be a thought leader, a driver, and help shape strategic direction of how our customers adopt Azure as a platform while also being relentlessly detail focused in order to make incremental progress on the ground.


More specifically, we are seeking leaders who: 

  • Are a trusted technical and business advisor to our customer.
  • Are passionate about ensuring our customers view Microsoft as a partner, not a vendor in their cloud adoption journey.
  • Have an execution focused mindset, ability to roll up your sleeves, working with various engineering, marketing, finance, legal, operations, and field teams to drive top customer success and turn those learnings into scalable programs. 
  • Understand the customer’s technical blockers and understand the groups in Azure that can help assist you in addressing them.
  • Can grow the partnership to the point where Azure is their platform of choice.
  • Can advise our customers effectively -  ensuring that they are successful on the platform by evangelizing the right cloud best practices  at the right time to ensure that customers meet their resiliency and high availability goals at both regional and global scale. 
  • Will drive customer feedback and requirements back into our product groups, effectively advocating in order to push our platform forward with creation of new features, products and hardware, enabling customers to achieve more in our cloud.


Specialist Experience

  • A Passion for Digital Transformation
  • Broad understanding of the Cloud Services industry; including key competitors, and global market and geo-political trends impacting top industry transformation.
  • Experience in shipping complex, strategic, business critical workloads on a cloud solution provider, with a deep understanding of the pre-requisites, necessary steps and support required to make a customer/successful on every step of the journey. 
  • Industry experience and insights of one or multiple verticals such as FSI, Health, Gov. Retail . 
  • Experience working with top tier customers C suite and across the customer and Microsoft internal stakeholder landscape.
  • A structural, repeatable approach in solving complex problems, can communicate to senior decision makers in a clear, compelling way, and drive decisive action in partnership with others in a large organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements, scenarios into products and services, ability to deliver results in an environment of ambiguity.
  • Stellar cross group collaboration, able to drive decisive action in partnership with others in a large organization and deliver results that depend on other divisions and external partners.
  • Excellent communication skills, strong leadership and influencing skills.  Ability to work independently in highly ambiguous environments, with both technical and business groups internally and externally. 

Skills & Qualifications:

  • BS or postgraduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in Product Management, Business Development, Technical or Management Consulting. 
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
