Strategy & Planning Manager | Hamad International Airport

Job Description

In this role, you will manage the delivery of the short term business plan and organisational objectives by ensuring that they are met within the cost and regulatory constraints for the organisation.

Accountabilities:

  • Ensures executive leadership strategic direction is translated into tangible operating plans for departments within HIA for the achievement of the organisational objectives.
  • Evaluates various quantitative and qualitative information sources available within HIA to identify and incorporate inputs to deliver strategic  projects. Prepares and presents value engineering proposals by performing detailed reviews to improve project cost schedules. Scopes  and  manages strategic projects end-to-end; maintains responsibility for deliverables and timelines through required coordination with key departments.
  • Support the organisation in managing the short business plan through continuous monitoring of the strategic project's time and cost schedules. Develops business case proposals in alignment to Organisation's business plan and ensures the requirements are risk assessed and value engineered. Ensure risk assessment and mitigations are included in the business planning process.
  • Set up the process and governance of CAPEX programs across HIA, including the evaluation against operational and financial parameters.
  • Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department.

 

Specialist Experience

About You:

Qualifications:

Essential:

Relevant College or University qualification to min Bachelor's level.

Preferred:

MBA with an engineering background in an airport or a consulting firm.

 

Previous Experience:

Essential:

• Minimum 7 years relevant experience.

• Airport Experience.

 

Job Specific Skills:

Essential:

Communication skills and good command of English language.

Analytical, numerical, evaluation, and planning skills.

MS office skills.

Related MS office suite knowledge.

Strong understanding and knowledge of the activities and functions of the various business and support divisions in an aviation organisation.

Managerial skills - Ability to delegate work, set clear direction and manage workflow. Strong mentoring and coaching skills. Ability to train and develop subordinate's skills. Ability to foster teamwork among team members.
