Modern Trade Channel Development Manager

Job Description

Job Summary:

Manage a group of modern trade retailer accounts; drive the cooperation with assigned retailers by ensuring delivery of service & solution recommendation in order to achieve the company’s financial objectives and other operational performance indicators.

 

Client Servicing:

  • Drive commercial activities independently or in conjunction with senior in terms of preparation and delivery of proposal and credentials
  • Responsibility of expanding our scope of influence with clients across a wider range of products and with greater depth of involvement
  • Drive client satisfaction by providing insights and actionable recommendations during presentations or business reviews
  • Provide product solutions and benefits to client business issues / opportunities by developing strategic initiatives for each client
  • Ensure the services provided to clients are timely and precise according to client business needs and specifications while meeting the company's quality standards
  • Build and maintain good relationships with the identified key persons within client organization
  • Attend client planning meetings and contribute by providing Nielsen insights and solutions to the client’s business needs
  • Recruit new retailers for data collaboration in Modern Trade enhancement plan
  • Assist in ensuring adherence to the approved company policies on business conduct/ethics when servicing clients
  • Maintain an accurate, complete, up-to-date and insightful client business profiles to be shared with senior management

 

Team Development & Technical:

  • Manage a team of 01 sr.exec/executive & 01 trainee
  • Ensure team members are trained to handle client requirements
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date knowledge of research techniques and applications
  • Provide value-added analyses and respond to special requests
  • Manage data quality issues by overseeing data inquiry process
  • Recommend improvements in work processes within area of responsibility

 

Financial Management:

  • Contribute to overall team plan by generating revenue and/or cost-savings ideas
  • Ensure continuous market scoping initiatives and release of business proposals to the targeted client are pursued to ensure an adequate supply of business prospects are in the pipeline

 

Organizational Management and Development:

  • Ensure alignment of operating systems and processes that will enable the business unit to achieve the overall business objectives
  • Work across functional business units to support organizational initiatives and business needs
  • Promote inter-departmental and inter-divisional communications and teamwork

 

Specialist Experience

  • BA / BS Required (MBA desirable)
  • Above 03 - 05 years of experience in Market Research or Modern Trade Retailer or Marketing Consulting Firm
  • Working experience in category management, modern trade channel development, business development are preferable
  • Project management experience
  • Effective writing skills
