Senior Business Manager

The Senior Business Manager role will focus on developing and executing a strategy focused on financial results on the new business areas identified by the company.


In a typical day as a Senior Business Manager, you would:

  • Conduct research to identify markets and customer needs, determine key business development KPIs
  • Screen potential business deals by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, potential, and financials; evaluating options; resolving internal priorities
  • Arrange business meetings with prospects
  • Build long-term partnerships with new and existing customers
  • Maintain a funnel and update the management on a regular basis
  • Provide feedback and after-sales support
  • Facilitate the creation of the ecosystem functional to the development of the new businesses, addressing internal business units, external partners like ISV’s and other vendors, higher education and research institutions, etc.
  • Support team members
  • Liaise with sales and marketing teams, provide trainings
  • Travel wherever the business priorities will require
  • Define high-impact, long-term (i.e., 2-5+ year horizon) business strategies at the corporate, business, and/or regional level
  • Partner with senior management to identify existing operational and new business opportunities, including market development, investment prioritization, and Mergers & Acquisitions and other growth strategies
  • Monitor external factors during strategic development, including market forces, macro/microeconomic factors, and competitive implications
  • Work with and manages cross-functional project teams. Conducts rigorous, data-driven analyses to diagnose the current state and model future outcomes for business performance
  • Develop recommendations for senior management based on competitive market, financial, statistical, and economic trend data
  • Manage corporate strategy initiatives and participates in communicating the strategy to the client organization
  • Identify research, tools, and analyses required to achieve objectives for large, complex business strategy projects
  • Structure analytical approaches and develops project strategies and tactics.
  • Develop recommendations for optimizing business and financial performance.
  • Manage large, cross- functional teams and communications to facilitate projects and ensure timely delivery to clients.
  • Lead the development of project guidelines, contingency plans, objectives, and deliverables.
  • Consult with business executives on a wide range of issues related to the strategy formulation process, including risk management and new growth opportunities.
  • Provide thought leadership and contributes to expanding the knowledge base within area of expertise which includes developing new methods, techniques and criteria for developing strategy analysis and recommendations.
  • Collaborate across businesses, functions, and regions to align strategy and direction with corporate and divisional approaches, systems, information and support


Specialist Experience

  • Good at partnering, innovating, and making things happen. You are aligned to our core values!
  • A person who has approximately 15 years of total experience. Often 4-7 years post- advanced degree experience leading projects, deals, and company financial improvement initiatives in management consulting, corporate strategy, investment banking, or market research
  • Holding an advanced university degree (e.g., MBA) or demonstrable equivalent
  • Experienced in covering similar role in the IT sector
  • A person with excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills
  • A person with a previous experience in the semiconductor industry and experience in the management of international teams and projects
  • Experienced in defining and bringing new products to market success, coordinating engineering, marketing and sales activities. The ideal candidate can show constant targets overachieving across his career.
  • Excellent in analytical thinking, analysis, and problem solving
  • Able to communicate abstract ideas clearly and independently manage complex project objectives
  • Showing extensive knowledge of and ability to manage statistical analysis and financial modeling.
  • A person with an advanced business acumen, technical knowledge within at multiple business units, and extensive knowledge in applications and technologies
  • A superior group facilitator, showing interviewing and influence skills
  • A person with project management skills, including project structuring and managing multiple work streams independently
  • Able to create strong relationship management skills, including partnering and consulting
  • A leader and you are willing to include coaching, team-building, conflict resolution and management
  • Able to identify and draw on leading-edge analytical tools and techniques to develop creative approaches and new insights to client issues
  • Able to independently draft and present client deliverables, recommendations, and and communications strategies
