Opportunity offered: Market Access Manager

 

The Manager is responsible for co-ordination of all market access activities within market including shareholders mapping, activity planning, implementation and records keeping (according to local laws and MSD compliance standards).

 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

 

  • Development, completion and timely submission of price / reimbursement dossiers to authorities
  • Development strategy and activity plans to secure fast access to therapies to patients, while achieving the best possible results and position for MSD
  • Pricing strategy management, lead and coordinate internal pricing approvals based on TA area responsibility
  • Accountability for market access / environmental changes / environmental assumptions part of all plans for MSD business planning in Czech Republic
  • Responsibility for timely provision of all data needed for creating all plans
  • Regular planned contacts with market access decision makers and stakeholders, especially (but not only) with reimbursement authorities, representatives of payers, medical societies and patient organizations in cooperation with Policy team
  • Support of other functions (namely medical, marketing, and sales functions) in market access activities
  • Coordinate cross-functional resources to fulfil customer needs
  • Communication and presentation of projects to senior management
  • Localisation / creation of value story for promoted products
  • Preparation LDG/RWE in line with MAX strategy in cooperation with medical team
  • Representation of MSD interests within national industry trade association(s) – TF based on TA areas
  • Implementation of new legislation to MAX strategies
  • MSD current and future TAs horizon scanning based on TA responsibility
  • Best practice sharing within MSD locally and across the countries
  • Responsibility for education in the fields of health economy and outcome research, and current price and reimbursement legislation and its implementation, if requested by other functions within MSD
  • Ensure all activities and responsibilities are carried out in compliance with the high standards of ethics and integrity required by the Code of Conduct, supporting Policies and Standards and Company Values to protect and enhance long term performance and reputation
  • Comply with valid EU and national legislation, the European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations Code of Practice on the Promotion of Medicines (the “EFPIA Code”) and this AIFP Code of Conduct (the “AIFP Code”), where the latter do not conflict with the former
  • Obligation to act in accordance with MSD policy and standards, report all accidents (including traffic accidents), occupational diseases, incidents and other abnormal deviations to Line Manager

 

Specialist Experience

  • Degree in medicine / natural sciences / pharmacy/ economy (advanced degree (PhD, MBA, etc.) is an advantage)
  • Experienced in market access of pharma / medical devices products or strong acumen about Czech Health Care environment
  • Knowledge of local legislative policies relevant for Health Care environment
  • Strong drive for results in complex situations
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Strategic, analytical thinking & planning skills
  • Learning agility to acquire solid product and disease state knowledge to facilitate effective customer communications
  • Collaborative mindset
  • Willingness to spend 50% of the time in the field (contact with payers, reimbursement authorities, medical societies, KOLs, hospitals, etc., participation at local conferences and internal meetings)
  • Good command of the English, fluent local language
