Job Description

As a Procurement Project Management Specialist, you will have a strong understanding of project management activities, including the end to end project management process in a fast paced, complex business environment. You will work within a team of collaborative colleagues, working on high-impact projects that move the business forward. You will help your team meet deadlines, track, monitor and summarize progress of projects, and prepare reports for senior leadership regarding the status and project of the project.

You will interface with key stakeholders to oversee and execute on multiple concurrent projects focused on localization, cost downs, and supplier transitions.  

By quickly building credibility, you will influence across functional team as a key member of the project.

This position you will develop and manage projects from planning phases through to execution of plans.

Responsibilities

  • MM Project specialist requires focus on enabling an efficient end to end MM and NPI projects in support of our Common Process / Systems initiatives.
  • Own the Project plan and manage the execution of that plan. Reporting of project status to key stakeholders across Procurement (xSBG, CST, CoE’s)
  • Drive annual cost change, migration and clean up projects for all plants globally in the team and deliver on time with 100% accuracy
  • Drive Material Master (MM) data setup and maintenance in the team using our Std. processes for Material Extend/Change/Obsolete. Currently we have 400K+ items in our Material Master which will increase as New sites go-Live on SAP
  • Train, Coach and mentor the team members, create strong backups in the team by training and upskilling the junior team members & act as SME for the process. Act as internal trainers by conducting process training sessions as per the requirement.
  • Plan and execute any Ad-hoc projects assigned to MM team
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders/Primary Manager to develop strategies to improve the quality of the operation & bring more value add to the business Data analysis, reporting and preparation of presentation material on MS Project, Access, Power Point, & Excel
  • Leading projects designed to streamline and standardize some of the key procurement processes, involving cross-functional project teams
  • Identify, plan and implement recommended solutions to improve the P2P process and systems, monitor action plan execution.

 

Specialist Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • MBA or other post graduate degree a plus
  • Greenbelt certification, PMP Certification, Six Sigma Black belt or Lean expert certification strongly desired
  • 5 years’ work Procurement and SAP MM experience including a minimum of 3 years of Material Master Project Management
  • Problem solving, team building and facilitation skills in day-to-day practices
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to understand and drive processes with a customer focus and good program management skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, and presentation skills
  • Ability to review and analyze data from multiple external and internal sources, convince and motivate project teams.
  • Strong project leadership skills with the ability to close initiatives on time and within budget
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic communication software
