Senior Research Analyst

Job Description

To provide high quality, innovative research on sectors of the JSE addressing the needs of all stakeholders

Job Responsibilities 

  • Produce thorough research reports that provide institutional clients with investment recommendations
  • Build client relationships by undertaking client content-based initiatives relating to management interaction, field trips, work-shops and conferences.
  • Develop and maintain professional internal and external relationships by marketing own research through meetings, telephone calls, road shows and other relevant communication formats.
  • Collaborate with other members of the research team to produce cross-sector thematic reports.
  • Use own research to identify monetisation opportunities for other Nedbank businesses.    
  • Seek opportunities to improve business processes and systems by identifying and recommending effective ways to operate.
  • Identify training courses and career progression for self through input and feedback from management.
  • Share knowledge and industry trends with team during formal and informal interaction.
  • Capture and monitor output levels on Customer Relationships Management (CRM) system to ensure cohesiveness in the team’s approach to a client.
  • Contribute to a culture conducive to the achievement of transformation goals by participating in Nedbank Culture building initiatives (e.g. staff surveys etc.)


Specialist Experience

Essential Qualification 

  • Professional Qualifications/Honour’s Degree

Preferred Qualification

  • Relevant Masters degree/CFA/MBA/Actuarial Science
