Expert Detailing Manager

Job Description

• Suggest the third-party on the opportunities to maximize business, brand recommendation and market share of relevant products as well as the risks in the business with proposed actions to minimize risks
• Review the commercial plan of the third-party if it is aligned with GSK’s overall strategic brand plans
• Oversight the expenditure of the third-party team to ensure agreed business plan is met
• Identify and gather market information, provide feedback to Marketing team in order to support the existing business and new product development plans if any
• Oversight the assigned third-party team on:
o Detailing capability: accurate product information and skills are met with the standards and SOPs.
o Coaching: (applying the First SFA) to develop relevant skills 
o Counseling: provide suggestion to the third party to ensure plan is aligned and complied with SOPs
o Training: provide appropriate product knowledge training and necessary trainings are planned
o Tracking: detailing process, sampling and plan execution in the hospital channel 
o Marketing material and activities are complied 
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders and demonstrate GSK leadership expectations and values 
• Ensure external engagements are as per GSK code of conduct.
• Collaborate with Regional Expert Marketing to ensure strategic alignment, provide input into content and materials, and ensure flawless local execution and localization of centrally created expert materials
• Effectively manage Expert Marketing A&P spend 
• Set and track benchmark KPIs (ONE KPIs), draw insights and course correct based on learnings in a timely manner to optimize marketing ROI e.g. recommendations, market share and message recall 
• Evaluate the effectiveness of the Detailing team based on product knowledge, product key message, objection handling script, etc. relating to products to maximize the capability of the detailing team  
• Work and support the local shopper team to identify opportunities with retailers to drive pharmacy recommendation and retail specific programs around the category (where applicable)
• Deliver expert marketing materials and activities based on local insights for all touch points (advertorials, e-detailing, digital press releases, PR, symposia, congress etc.) of both detailing and non-detailing implementation
• Lead product presentation and training in HCP conferences and seminars
• Drive product training for larger organization including the 3rd party pharmacy sales team 

Main responsibilities: 

• Oversight business plan and territories management
• Oversight HCP database validation, profiling, segmentation and targeting
• Business analysis, business planning to identify opportunities and threats 
• Monthly business report which includes competitors update and performance update
• KOLs, associations and hospital leaders network build up
• Product listing in hospital formulary and tender if aligning with GSK’s plan 
• Coaching and training aligning with First SFA and product/disease/therapies presentations and training to internal and external customers, including third parties, for the accurate delivery of messages in line with LOC Expert Marketing plans and global guidelines.
• Training Med Rep and supervisors to implement GSK code of conduct in field
The Job holder will ensure strictly following:
• Ensure the alignment of code of conduct for both GSK & local pharmaceutical industry in every brand activities/ communication / marketing materials 
• The requirement of working in the Representative Office

Specialist Experience

Basic qualifications:

• Doctors, Pharmacist University/college degree (Mandatory)
• Proficient in English including speaking, listening and written and Native in Vietnamese
• Strong track record in leadership and people management
• Strong track record of delivering on business objectives and meeting and exceeding business goals
• Relationship management: Exceptional interpersonal, communication and facilitation skills internally and externally. Ability to manage remotely
• Selling and negotiation: Advanced knowledge/ skill in negotiation, coaching, persuasion and influence internal and external customers 
• Strategic planning: Responsibility and accountability for delivering commercial success and competitive advantage. Ability to prioritize and enable effective targeting and segmentation strategies via CRM and territory management
• Executional excellence: Problem solving and solution based ‘Can do’ approach to issue management and conflict. Ability to work within a cross-functional set-up. Strong sense of urgency, clearly accountable for achievements of self & others. High levels of personal drive, self-motivation and proactive behavior.
• Customer business planning: Ability to foster strong, collaborative customer contacts and relationships 
• Insights: Ability to analyze complex data, collect and deploy market intelligence. Ability to implement metrics and KPIs and to leverage on learnings 
• People development and Coaching: ability to coach and motivate the team to drive the performance


Preferred qualifications: 
• MBA or Master in Business Administration (optional) 
• 8+ years of experience in Consumer/Healthcare/Pharma industry
• 8+ years of experience in expert detailing channel including 3+ years of experience of leading team.
• Experience of engagement with Key External Experts, hospital tender and product listings
