Program Manager, Supply Chain Spares and Analytics

Job Description

Google's projects, like our users, span the globe and require managers to keep the big picture in focus. As a Program Manager at Google, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects. You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating goals to project stakeholders. Your projects often span offices, time zones and hemispheres, and it's your job to keep all the players coordinated on the project's progress and deadlines.

Supply Chain Operations plays a key role in our Technical Infrastructure. As a Program Manager in our Supply Chain Organization, you will be responsible for procurement, materials fulfillment, driving business process improvements and automation projects. Your expertise in the areas of materials management and procurement will be critical for on-time delivery and inventory management required to fulfill hardware and technology requests at our global data centers.

You'll collaborate with NPI, Supply Planning, Engineering, Commodity Management, Contract Manufacturing, Logistics, ASCII and Suppliers to drive improvements in our reporting and data analytics capabilities. You will also use your analytical skills to establish and drive metrics, all in the pursuit of operational excellence.

  • Act as a leading team member in the development of strategies throughout the product life-cycle. Work with cross-functional partners to develop and execute strategies, analytics and reverse flow processes that enable sustainment of technology to power our global data centers. Enable on-time and predictable delivery of materials to all points of consumption.
  • Partner with our New Product Introductions team to ensure seamless production for technologies into our global data centers.
  • Contribute to supply chain designs to enable scalable supply chain models in a dynamic product and supply base environment.
  • Advocate for process improvements and tool development in support of ongoing evolution of our team.
  • Partner with Finance and Inventory Management to enable cost optimization and awareness through sustaining product transitions and inventory planning.


Specialist Experience

Minimum qualifications:

  • 5 years of work experience in supply chain management with a focus on spares planning, material planning, fulfillment, operations management, inventory management and procurement.
  • Experience in development and implementation of Supply Chain Planning systems and processes.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related discipline.
  • Master's degree in Industrial Engineering or related discipline or MBA with a focus in Supply Chain Management.
  • Experience in hardware product supply chain delivery through the entire life-cycle. Experience driving process improvement projects from idea to implementation and adoption.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills, including SQL and scripting experience.
  • Passion for automation and process improvements.
  • Excellent problem solving, communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to successfully work across multiple levels of the organization.
