Senior Manager Financial Planning & Analysis

Job Description

This is a key in-house tactical position for an organized, passionate, and growth oriented future leader who understands how to create value for our shareholders. This strategic role will be a key influencer in driving sustainable top-line development, managing a finite amount of investment resources and ensuring that we consistently embed the consumer in our decision making and processes.

Key Accountabilities

  • Steer all Commercial and General FP&A priorities to ensure the delivery of committed business results for East Europe
  • Develop and monitor KPI’s for ad-hoc, short and long-term planning and bring responsibility into the business
  • Create transparency about business performance by analyzing and comparing data from different sources of information
  • Identify key issues and opportunities, draw conclusions and provide a choice of creative recommendations and solutions that appropriately balance the interests of our shareholders and consumers
  • Optimize working capital and ensure delivery of sustainable NS with balanced balance sheet risk profile
  • Establish a valued business partnership due to objective and holistic controlling support
  • Provide Finance Director and Senior Management with correct, timely and in-depth analysis of both Financial and non-Financial business KPIs or other ad-hoc reporting.
  • Provide guidance and influence business partners to assist in making business decisions that support in achieving sustainable Brand strength and profitability.
  • Develop and implement creative process improvements and best-known practices while simplifying current financial management processes and analytical tools. Specific focus will be required on processes that can act as a key enabler for adidas to become even more consumer obsessed.
  • Lead or participate in cross functional projects as required.
  • Coordinate and drive improvements of internal controls.

Personnel:

  • Support enforcing the Company culture behaving according to 3C’s and Leadership Framework
  • Assume a coaching role with dedicated support on individual development for team members and support areas
  • Evaluate the competencies of the subordinates and support areas on a regular basis regarding to performance and potential
  • Distribute duties and responsibilities within the team effectively in close collaboration with the FP&A Director Central

 

Specialist Experience

  • Demonstrated analytical and financial modeling skills, comfort with Finance and Accounting principles and strong financial statement analysis.
  • High degree of customer and consumer orientation
  • Independent handling of a variety of tasks with different level of complexity by developing effective plans and organizing work efficiently.
  • Acting in a goal and solution oriented manner, be able to prioritize and complete tasks in order of importance.
  • Thinking beyond the obvious and do not stop at the first answer
  • Ability to navigate in complex international environment to influence and enable key business partners
  • Ability to motivate the colleagues and support shift toward growth mindset
  • Mobility for future growth assignments

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications

  • Advanced degree or qualification in Finance, Economics or Accounting (e.g. MBA or CPA)
  • Familiarity with SAP, COPA and other relevant adidas and industry Finance systems/analytical software a major plus
  • 5+ years of broad based operational and strategic finance experience with progressive responsibility in industry leading companies
  • Language skills: English spoken and written
