Strategy and Insights Manager, Travel and Education (English, Mandarin)

Using your influencing and relationship-building skills, you provide Google-caliber client service, research and market analysis. You anticipate how decisions are made, persistently explore and uncover the business needs of Google's key clients and understand how our range of product offerings can grow their business. Working with them, you set the vision and the strategy for how their advertising can reach thousands of users.

As an Strategy and Insights Manager, you will rely on your experience within the Travel and Education industry while working with multiple teams and stakeholders, setting sophisticated strategies, and fostering effective industry narratives. You will work directly with the Industry Leader and cross-functionally with a variety of support teams to handle highly visible projects.

Our Large Customer Sales teams partner closely with many of the world’s biggest advertisers and agencies to develop digital solutions that build businesses and brands. We enjoy a bird’s eye view on the massive transformation occurring as advertising shifts to mobile and online platforms. We're uniquely situated to help shape how companies grow their businesses in the digital age. We advise clients on Google's broad range of products across search, video and mobile to help them connect instantly and seamlessly with their audiences.


  • Lead development of high priority sector/cross-vertical narratives that address complex customer business challenges.
  • Align with Industry Leaders on in-quarter and multi-quarter priorities for narratives and oversee execution of agreed quarterly engagement plan.
  • Deliver insights, digital marketing thought leadership, and storytelling savviness for the Gaming and Apps.
  • Oversee or Lead consumer-focused research programs that can unlock new growth opportunities.
  • Lead Annual Planning and Quarterly Business Review. Attend and contribute to regular leadership meetings.



Specialist Experience

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience in digital marketing, account planning, marketing research and/or consulting.
  • Ability to communicate in English and Mandarin fluently and idiomatically.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA.
  • Experience managing first and third-party research. Experience with spreadsheet and presentation software.
  • Understanding of digital marketing tools (e.g., search, social, mobile, display, video, local spaces).
  • Knowledge of the Travel and Education industry.
  • Ability to consider challenges from multiples perspectives, including granular and big picture information.
  • Excellent analytical skills and strategic thinking. Excellent communication, project management, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
