You may be an experienced Forensic Analyst or have broader experience in audit or accounting. Deloitte Forensic is highly regarded in New Zealand. We work across industry sectors on investigations with both a local and international reach. We are comprised of experts in the field of forensic accounting, investigations, forensic technology, law enforcement and data analytics. We provide specialist advice to clients relating to fraud, corruption and regulatory investigations, commercial litigation and prevention, detection and review of misconduct.

The location


Wellington is a compact city. In the downtown area restaurants, cafes, hotels, attractions and transport are all within walking distance. Accessible and affordable public transport gives you easy access to the region. As it is the capital, industry is primarily focused on public sector and government organisations although many of the large blue chip, private sector companies have offices in Wellington. To support the Wellington market, all of Deloitte’s service lines are represented in the Deloitte Wellington office located right in the heart of the city.

Specialist Experience

  • To be considered for this position you will ideally have: 
  • 2-4 years of experience in Forensics, Auditing or Accounting; 
  • A relevant university degree
  • CA, CPA, CFA, CFE, MBA or other equivalent designation (completed or in progress) is a plus 
  • Excellent communication skills
  • An enquiring mind
  • Strong commitment to professional and client service excellence
  • Incorporates financial information when evaluating business opportunities and solves problems objectively using analysis, experience and judgement
Additional desirable experience includes:
  • Understanding of a typical project life cycle: Planning, scope, data collection, data analytics, data review, investigation and reporting;
  • Understanding of forensic tools and technologies, their purpose and functionality, and hands on experience in order to analyse, review, investigate and report;
  • Understanding of forensic approaches and methodologies in order to devise and execute solutions
  • Experience with delivering projects within a large consultancy firm
  • Our growing national and international focus of our work also means that you should be willing to travel when required and have a very good command of English (written and verbal).
