Industrial & CAPEX Controller

Job Description

This job plays a very strong role in the day to day management of the factory through an effective & financially sound decision making working closely with Factory manager, providing leadership & management proximity to Factory controller on site, & close monitoring of the daily operations & spending in addition to rolling forecast ensuring a high level of efficiency & effectiveness of the factory performance.


About the job

Industrial: -

  • Production losses Tracking – identifying gaps and root causes through cross functional team
  • Monitoring and enhancing industrial KPI’s Losses %, operation efficiency, Cost per ton
  • Identifying and tracking productivity project through cross functional teams.
  • Responsible for Industrial budget preparation and opex monitoring Actual spending Vs budget and prior year
  • Develop and modify accounting procedures and processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness in the month-end close as well as the month-end reconciliation of the balance sheet
  •   Familiarity with Corporate policies.  Ensure plant policies and procedures are in place and consistent with corporate guidelines
  •   Support Operations in the development and publication of financial Key Performance Indicators
  • Responsible for coordinating the annual and quarterly planning process for plant labor, overhead
  • Enhance planning processes, templates and procedures for the plant 
  • Support periodic forecasting activities to re-align expectations based on trends and changes in the business outlook



  • Fixed Asset System implementation, process set up, and tracking through fixed asset tagging , disposal , transfer from capex to Fixed asset
  • Tracking Capex spending on weekly basis and reconciling it with the accounting department.
  • Monitor the Capex spending versus plan.
  • Responsible for Capex closing and ensure properly closure in the fixed asset register.


Specialist Experience

To be able to achieve the above and be successful in this role we believe you need to have:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
  • MBA or CMA is a plus
  • Targeted profile Required between 4 to 6 years of experience in accounting and controlling preferable FMCGs
  • Computer skills:  Use Microsoft Excel, to create, modify, print, and format spread-sheets, works with formulas and functions.  Use templates, and multiple worksheets.
  • Good knowledge in intermediate accounting and accounting standards.
  • Good knowledge in ERP and MRP models.
  • Strong leadership, people management, and coaching, with a demonstrated experience in managing & motivating teams. Strong communication skills with different levels of the organization - senior management, colleagues, subordinate. Self-driven, result-oriented with positive outlook and clear focus on high quality and business profits. Reliable, tolerant, and determined. Keen on new experience, responsibility and accountability.
  • Strong understanding of P&Ls, KPIs, OFCF & cost drivers. Strong analytical skills - will play a strong role in assessing future investment & payback projects. Ability to advice on operations financial improvement & efficiencies.
  • Experience in systems implementations is a plus. English Language is a must (verbal & writing).
