About the Role


We are looking for a Strategy & Planning Associate to join the Uber Eats team in Mexico. The role will involve delivering high-quality, strategic insights founded on analytics to drive business strategy and develop the main actions to be executed. Also will be driving execution helping the operations teams, create the monitoring mechanisms to track performance, help coordinating cross-functional and strategic projects and coordinate with the Mexico S&P and leadership teams providing visibility into business performance.

What You’ll Do


  • Collaborate with different city, regional, and global teams to identify high priority business needs and document the vast Uber data universe
  • Develop and manage tools and processes to execute against strategic and business plans
  • Deliver on initiatives and goals through thoughtful organizational planning and project management
  • Serve as a strategic consultant to the business through trusted partner relationships with the regional leadership, delivering impact against priorities that will benefit the business and employees
  • Actively support all strategic planning and analytical activity for senior management of the country
  • Envision new ways that strategic partnerships can positively impact core business objectives applying creativity and business acumen
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners in operations and product to bring ‘first of their kind’ partnerships to life
  • Set, track and report on strategic partner performance metrics
  • Develop internal communication strategy for Mexico - creating the processes to better orchestrate communication for the region
  • Drive operational excellence in high growth markets, through process improvements and better alignment between cities
  • Identify internal operational weaknesses and help improve or innovate people programs and processes to keep them as effective and efficient as possible (i.e., Org Design, talent strategies, Recruiting efficiencies, etc)


Specialist Experience

  • A minimum of 4 years of work experience in corporate strategic planning, investment banking, private equity, consulting, or related fields but we will consider other candidates with less experience if they meet our other requirements
  • Experience in internal communication and business development
  • MBA or other relevant advanced degree related is a plus
  • Strong analytical skills, SQL prefered
  • Fast learner
  • Great understanding of business strategy, databases, data relationships and data integrity
  • Self-starter attitude and ability to exercise judgment and solve difficult problems without direct supervision
  • Professional proficiency in English and Spanish
  • Desire to build, comfort with ambiguity, and easily adaptable to change required
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, must be an articulate and persuasive communicator including excellent presentation skills; analytical and problem solving abilities
  • Strong communication skills to digest, understand and communicate business needs from different cities and product lines
  • Strong ability to take a long-term view of the whole picture and think about the business at a strategic level
  • Attention to detail; accuracy is a must!
