Strategic Gaming Lead, Global Partnerships

Job Description

Your knowledge of online media combined with your communication skills and analytical abilities shapes how new and existing business grow. Using your influencing and relationship-building skills, you provide Google-caliber client service, research and market analysis. You anticipate how decisions are made, persistently explore and uncover the business needs of Google's key clients and understand how our range of product offerings can grow their business. Working with them, you set the vision and the strategy for how their advertising can reach thousands of users.

The Partnership Solutions organization deepens our relationships with our largest and most complex partners in some of Google’s fastest growing verticals, and is the business partner and sounding board for our product teams and on go-to-market vision. The Partnerships Solutions organization ensures cross-functional alignment of goals and execution, and helps teams forge and drive strategic partnerships and new initiatives forward. Our Startups, Apps and Gaming arm of the Partnerships Solutions organization provides business critical insights to internal stakeholders using analytics and strategic insights. We stay focused on aligning the highest-level company priorities with strong day-to-day operations, and help evolve early stage ideas into future-growth initiatives. We often partner with our global, front-line teams, and other business units to create organizational wide solutions.

Google’s Global Partnerships team works with a wide range of partners to bring the best of Google to power their business. The team partners with Publishers and App Developers of all sizes to promote their ad inventory, working with Google's broad range of partner solutions including AdSense, AdMob and Google Ad Manager, across mobile, display, and video formats, helping our partners and their audiences get the most out of the web. In addition, the Partnerships team supports Google’s own product teams with essential partnerships to help power Google’s user experiences in search, maps, travel, shopping, payments and more.


  • Work with Google Play, Stadia, and YouTube to refine global gaming strategy partnerships
  • Develop a deep understanding of the global gaming landscape and a clear vision of Google’s role - now and in the future
  • Create a flourishing, global gaming community across multiple product areas
  • Interact with product teams to inform a robust, well-coordinated product portfolio that reflects strategic priorities for the gaming vertical
  • Work with stakeholders to cultivate a healthy ecosystem for gaming partners and strengthen their perception of Google within the industry


Specialist Experience

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 6 years of relevant experience; 2 of which were in the gaming industry
  • Experience working in a cross-functional role in any of the following fields: marketing, communications, corporate strategy, or consulting

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA or Masters degree
  • Proficiency with presentation software
  • Ability to grasp complex technical and product concepts
  • Ability to translate and communicate product, business, and financial and concepts to internal and external stakeholders
