Marketing Manager

Job Description

PCH is a leading global consumer healthcare company with #1/leading brands in several categories, including Centrum (#1 multivitamin), Caltrate (#1 calcium supplement) and Advil (#1 OTC pain reliever).  Taiwan is a leading market for PCH.  Centrum, Caltrate and Stresstabs are each the #1 brand in their respective categories in Taiwan.

 

Responsibilities:

Deliver target sales, profit and market share performance for assigned products

  • Formulate annual marketing plan and communication strategies in line with marketing manager
  • Work with Regional and Global Franchise Team to deliver communication projects
  • Execute efficiently annual marketing activities and monitor effectiveness of the activities to ensure achievement of brand objectives
  • Control marketing expenses within budget and monitors the level of contributions of his/her assigned products
  • In alliance with internal cross-functional teams to develop plans and activities to deliver brand business objectives, which include:
  • Product launch or promotion plan
  • Sales volume and revenue objectives by product
  • Customer coverage
  • Prepare monthly and ad-hoc analysis, reports, presentation and plans
  • Support trade marketing team to formulate annual trade marketing plan
  • Support trade marketing team in formulating and implementing new product or special promotion SKU in distribution coverage and account promotion plans
  • Assist consumer hotline and factory site to provide necessary support when facing consumer inquiries

     

    Facilitate optimal capitalization on short-term to mid-term brand business growth opportunities.

  • Formulate 3~5 year brand management and line extension plan
  • Formulate channel opportunities for brand

     

    Facilitate operations of other functional division by providing required information and support

  • Forecast market demand on regular basis to facilitate adequate product supply
  • Update brand strategies and activities to internal cross-functional teams
  • Input on information to other functional divisions as required

    Keep updating on market dynamics so as to facilitate optimally commercialize growth potential of the assigned brands

  • Conduct field visit on a regular basis to ensure understanding of product and competitor performances
  • Monitor on a regular basis the following through both primary and secondary data collection
  • Brand performance
  • Consumers’ A&U and their needs
  • Market dynamics (size, trend and competition)

 

Specialist Experience

Education / Experience

  • University graduate with qualification in Marketing, Business or similar fields – MBA preferred
  • Minimum 7 years of marketing experience of which at least 4+ years in the capacity of a manager or above
  • Ability to create and deliver effective presentations to working teams and senior management required
  • Product launch/ communication development/ TV and digital media buy/ IMC campaign plan and execution/ consumer insight probing experiences are required, previous FMCG experience (sales, marketing, etc.) is preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively, problem solving, obtaining consensus required
  • Possess a genuine interest in helping to improve the lives of consumer and their families
  • Strong understanding of business strategy, marketing planning tools and processes
  • Strong customer focus with the ability to adapt to internal client needs and expectations
  • Strong communicator and presenter, with the ability to persuade others and foster open communication
  • Proactively lead affiliate-wide projects to deliver quality results as needed
