As Category Manager at Aruba you act as the technical expert and enable portfolio knowledge and execution. Your ability to combine business and market intelligence with technical know-how gains you a position as ambassador and go-to person. You work closely with the marketing team to create demand generating activities at strategic and tactical level supporting growth, brand awareness and bring added value to our local user community – Airheads Community. You will be the driving force behind the overall portfolio knowledge in all dimensions.




  • Actively contributes to the overall business plan.
  • Leads and implement portfolio strategic and tactical initiatives
  • Establish relationship and represents Aruba with sales force and other partners at senior level.
  • Actively manage and generate added value to Airheads Community
  • Frame and communicate Aruba value proposition, supporting portfolio execution and awareness
  • Responsibility for the team in several areas (market analysis, marketing engagement, SF communication etc).
  • Assess and address gap analyses in general go-to-market, current vs desired state
  • Execution of low-touch demand generating activities



Specialist Experience

Education and Experience Required:

  • University or Bachelors degree, advanced degree or MBA preferred.
  • Typically 8-12 years of professional experience with a combination of Marketing, Sales, Business Planning, Solution design experienced preferred.
  • Commercial Partner management expertise or End User Acct management as an alternative.
  • Relevant technical experience and certifications



Knowledge and Skills:

  • IT industry knowledge.
  • Deep understanding of the category product, business management, sales challenges and strategies.
  • Business planning skills, multidimensional.
  • Financial planning and modelling skills, comfortable to manage high complexity business planning and reporting.
  • Strong communication skills at senior management internally and externally.
  • Knowledge of promotional marketing processes and practices.
  • Negotiation skills and ability to frame the product value proposition to customers/partners.
  • Leadership skills and cross functional expertise (sales, solution design, channel engagements, supply chain).
