Luxturna Country Commercial Manager

Job Description

Develop, coordinate and implement a strategic business plan for accounts, institutions, cus- tomers and systems of care, that will drive disease awareness, educate customers on rare diseases and associated patient support programs. Educate about the access to product, and drive local appropriate patients’ identification. Responsible for building long-term relationships with key decision-makers and influencers to obtain local customer insights and identify business opportunities for assigned brand and therapeutic area. Collaborate with local Marketing team and Cluster Medical Manager to develop and execute customer centric programs aligned with the Luxturna strategic imperatives.

Lead the development, implementation and regular updates of customer plans, to achieve business goals: •Conduct regular business analyses of the local market, opportunities (local medical confer- ences), customers, payers, competition, key stakeholders, legislation, policies within the area of rare diseases, orphan diseases •Develop a proper segmentation of customers consistently with the number of patients treated managed & the physicians attitude to treatment •Map the local patient access flow to provide input into contracting and local access strategies •Monitor competitors’ strategy/tactics and use information in business planning •Develop strategy, objectives and tactics in line with the Rare Diseases Unit objectives •Conduct periodic needs assessments with key customers to tailor and communicate customer insights to Head RE Luxturna. Engage with Head RE Luxturna and cross functional team to drive development of new strategies and tactics to pursue business opportunities •Facilitate networking among centers to improve the unified patient journey including gene testing pathways •Develop and foster relationships with retinal specialists to identify patients to get genotyped and ensure patients meet criteria for genotyping •Responsible for identifying the Genetic Labs performing high quality & timely gene analysis •Drive genotyping diagnostic efforts through disease awareness and education to success- fully initiate and execute genotyping programs. Lead Novartis cross-functional team effort to achieve product access goals and sales goals: •Identify opportunities and lead cross-functional team to implement strategies and tactics to ensure and support the unified patient journey and access to product at local level •Communicate and coordinate, according to guidelines, with cross-functional team in CPO, Cluster, Region to identify solutions to support the unified patient journey and reimbursement issues •Support the implementation of product reimbursement strategies and work cross-function- ally internally to support the update of payers’ policies related to rare diseases of interest. Engage with external stakeholders to favorably influence and manage payers’ policies, as is appropriate and according to compliance guidelines Engage with key customers to develop long-term partnerships:Identify and develop Genetic Testing Key KOLs through promotion and education



Specialist Experience

Bachelor's Degree (preferably in Life Sciences, Phar- macy or Business related discipline). MBA preferred Strong business background English: fluent written and spoken. At least one additional European language preferred 10 years of pharma/biotech industry experience in a combination of sales and potentially marketing. Minimum 2 in hospital or specialty sales (preferably biologics, rheu- matology, allergy/immunology or rare diseases). Prior ex- perience in Rare or Ultra Rare diseased with strong pa- tient focus is preferred. Strong track record of performance Demonstrated ability to work with accounts, multiple stakeholders and academic customers Proven ability to establish and cultivate key customer re- lationships
