Key Responsibilities:


  • In close collaboration with the Senior Learning Advisor for Risk, the Risk Learning Advisor will partner with senior executives from the Risk Management Organization to develop and execute learning solutions and programs that support Risk Management’s strategy and objectives.  The Risk Learning Advisor will collaborate closely with all Citi Learning colleagues, Human Resource Generalists, Compensation, Staffing and Recruiting, Talent Planning and Diversity on key initiatives related to Risk Learning and Development.
  • Undertake learning needs and gap analysis, including data gathering, research, and analysis of data.  Use varied instruments and techniques to support data gathering and research, such as interviewing, profiling, group process, surveys, analysis of existing data, etc.  Collaborate closely with regional Learning and Development partners to lead the needs and gap analysis globally.
  • Partner closely with the Senior Learning Advisor for Risk to develop and execute learning and development strategy and solutions in close collaboration with Risk subject matter experts, external resources, and Citi Learning colleagues.  Identify most appropriate learning solutions and delivery methods to enable optimal learning impact and reach in alignment with Risk Management goals.  Facilitate discussions and negotiate with Risk subject matter experts on appropriate learning solutions and programs.  Manage the vendor relationships including program design and execution coordination.  Leverage the internal Learning and Development network to deploy best in class learning solutions in alignment with broader organization goals.  
  • Continuously update and enhance existing programs taking into account new delivery methods and solutions.  In close collaboration with the Senior Learning Advisor for Risk, work with the senior Risk Management and Citi Learning to ensure learning solutions and programs support Risk drivers and strategy as well as Citi Learning objectives. Employ blended instructional technology and solutions; including traditional classroom, web-based, and other forms of learning. Maintain an ongoing dialogue with existing and new vendors in order to stay abreast of new offerings and learning trends.
  • Create and systematize program nominations, enrollment, participation, and post program development plans.
  • Develop and implement consistent methods and metrics to measure the effectiveness of training (i.e., strategies to measure return on investment). 
  • In close collaboration with the Risk Learning and Development team members, provide regular and ongoing communication regarding Risk Learning and Development initiatives to stakeholders within the Risk Organization, Business Organizations, and Human Resource/Learning and Development global teams.


Specialist Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Learning, Human Resources, Organizational Development or related field (Masters or MBA preferred).
  • Knowledge of and/or exposure within Risk Management or Learning and Development for financial services a plus.
  • Extensive years of experience in Human Resources within the financial services industry OR extensive years of experience in Risk Management.
  • Background in training or needs assessments, instructional design, and delivery for multiple modalities (e.g., classroom, self-paced, virtual).
  • Experience working across regions, cultures, geographies required.
  • Experience in large matrixes and a multinational organization is preferred.
