Trade Marketing Manager (Hygiene-Home)

Job Description

  • Commercial Objective: Delivery of category trade spend ( grow and channel P&L as per company objectives).
  • Planning
  • Sales Master Plan: Sales master plan for the category, trade spend planning, building block by category and by channel.
  • Category/Channel plan: Developing a 4P/3D category master plan with distinct KPIs and ROIs in line with the marketing master plan. The plan is to be developed in consultation with various stake holders like marketing/shopper TMM.
  • NPD/EPD: Integrating the knowledge of 4P to develop NPD/EPD launch plans for one's own category. S/he is required to provide inputs to marketing (brand manager) for pricing, pack sizes and competitor scenario as well as develop NPD selling story.
  • POSM: Ensuring the integrity of POSM of the brands.
  • National Consumer Promos: Developing allocation of consumer promo in line with the strategic intent. Tracking all DB Pos VS allocation and ROIs
  • Competitor Threat: Planning for category tactical response in case of competitive threats or opportunities.
  • LSM: Localizing global 4P strategies and principles, convert global success models into local success models.
  • Monitoring /Control
  • Category/Channel Performance: Monitoring the performance of initiatives at category level in Sales Master plan against the KPIs, course correcting for deviations.
  • Trade Investment: Trade investment to be in line with the financial plan for the category, give feedback to marketing on category trade spend, give feedback to shopper TMM on TMLV.
  • Execution
  • Communication: Developing effective communication packages on a monthly/quarterly basis so as to facilitate the sales team to communicate the various trade programs and consumer promos with the key beneficiaries in the best possible manner (SCAM).


Specialist Experience

  • Bachelor degree/MBA (Sales & Marketing)
  • 4-5 years of experience in a FMCG emvironment (mandatory field experience + existing Key Accounts/Trade Marketing/Brand Management experience)
  • Strong knowledge of field sales and trade marketing
  • Clear understanding of sales and marketing strategy and planning issues
