Your responsibilities: 

The Business Planning & Analysis (BPA), Novartis Business Services (NBS) Reporting & Planning is an expert in value-added management accounting activities, with a strong focus on driving financial reporting & planning completeness, accuracy and timeliness through systematic performance monitoring and measurement, and continuous process improvement and learning / best-practice dissemination. This role works in close collaboration with Local (Country), Regional and Global Finance Leaders and Associates across NBS Service Domains, Financial Reporting & Accounting (FRA) Operations and Novartis Divisions supporting in monthly Management Reporting, Latest Estimate, Strategic Planning and Budgeting cycles for NBS

- Understand the Country, Region and Global planning process - Support the budgeting, planning and forecasting cycles - Contribute towards streamlining FP&A processes using BPC - Automation – Identify areas for automation and drive enhancements, liase with IT project team - Test new developments, and train/knowledge share across BPA teams in CPO/region - Understand current reporting needs and create/enhance planning reports using EPM - Manage BPC tasks - o Prepopulation o Apply predefined logics to achieve CPO specific planning processes o Copy and lock versions o Setup, run and reconcile allocations o Support business users in day-to-day activities related to business planning o Create/maintain standard CPO and region reports/decks o Support data reconciliation across different systems and perform root cause analysis - Ad hoc analysis and reporting

Specialist Experience

• Chartered Accountant or MBA (Finance) • Fluent English • Should have good understanding of data flow (inbounds, internal and external BPC interfaces) and SAP concepts • Preferred experience in accounting/financial planning with exposure to BPC Implementation and/or Support (2+ years of BPC experience) • Strong analytical and reasoning skills, with an eye for detail Ability to use financial controlling / reporting tools and ability to create adhoc reports. • Understanding of ERPs preferably SAP, BI and the underlying sub-systems. Awareness & understanding of Finance IT systems – architecture & data flows – would be desirable
