The Latin America Data Driven Marketing - Senior Manager (CDM) leader must have a holistic view of marketing strategy with expertise in data science and application to market intelligence, campaign communication, and sales conversion. The leader must be able to navigate and executive projects across different businesses across the Samsung electronics portfolio.

 

Having a regional role, the leader is responsible for understanding and eventually customizing the global strategy to develop guides and directions to support the needs and opportunities in the Latin America region. Regional role focus on strategy and platforms, while subsidiaries are primarily responsible for execution and operations management. 

 

By applying his analytical skills, the CDM leader identifies critical issues and design and implement marketing projects. These projects act as a pilot/ template for the local CDM managers, providing successful and concrete cases to be referenced by the management teams in Latin America and in Headquarters.

 

The CDM leader must develop himself/ herself as a trusted advisor for the subsidiaries and to HQ, and must be able to read the political environment and well articulate propositions to different levels of stakeholders.

 

Role & Responsibility

Global strategies customization & Regional strategies building

  • Support Latam Big Data expansion adding new layers of information
  • Refine operating model between LAO regional office, Global office, and subsidiaries
  • Work with global teams on key technology definitions and regional data warehouse planning
  • Regionally track and report key achievements on data-driving projects

 

Build up growth strategies to enhance ROI (Return on Investment) for data-driven Marketing

  • Guide data innovation strategy for target marketing communication
  • Develop strategic roadmap to implement improvements on current CDM and future DMP activities done by Subs
  • Implement pilot programs using emerging data-driven marketing platforms
  • Track global key Big Data market trends to educate subsidiaries and propose new projects

 

Support: “offer help in/via CDM projects”

  • Identify, package, and cascade best practice cases to raise capability of CDM in the Latam region
  • Actively help in strategic local projects that lacks of expertise, tools, resources or workforce
  • Help relevant local projects get necessary political and/or financial support from HQ
  • Design and execute marketing projects focused on strategic issues that Subsidiaries and/or HQ are not able to address

 

Specialist Experience

  • Data science experience with a leading B2C/ B2B global/ regional brand leading market data management, Global digital media company, Strategy Consulting firm, or Digital Marketing agency
  • BA or BS degree in Data Science, Statistics, IT, Marketing, Engineering, Business or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience. MBA preferred
  • 15+ working experience
  • 3+ years Data Management dedicated activities
  • Fluent English, Intermediate Spanish
