Regional Sales Manager

Job Description

Purpose of this role:

Deliver the best digital customer experience through a team of 45+ talented team managers & account managers by securing Vodafone’s in year revenue and deliver the growth plans with value added, out of the box services and solutions by managing, continuously improving the existing sales force. 

Plan and implement the growth of the different Enterprise Inside Sales functions in the Global Red Edge/Sales and VSS (Vodafone Shared Services) organisation, develop strategies and plans to grow the footprint and ensure it creates best in class experiences for our partners and customers. 

What you will do:

  • Provide best in class digital sales service across Eastern Europe in multiple customer segments like Small & Medium Enterprise, Large Enterprise, Public Sector, multi-national companies, IoT and international customers
  • Responsible for the agreed Sales Department KPI’s, including IYR, NB TCV, VAS revenue, NPS and for the profit and loss of the department
  • Contribute to strategic direction for the department and Vodafone; ensure the stabilisation of sales services and digital sales direction
  • Organize events/workshops to ensure a high employee engagement and develop the salesforce for future products/solutions
  • Hire industry specific talents for further growth and manage career development of the existing team members. Support, develop and coach leaders and the team members to ensure the maximum performance in a competitive industry
  • Provide business vision, strategy, clear definition of roles, responsibilities, individual goals and performance objectives; Set and measure KPIs, communicate strategies and objectives to supporting departments and colleagues
  • Participate in standardization of global processes, and enhance the customer and partner experience
  • Oversee all areas of the business, implement any operational changes and deliver measurable improvements
  • Provide regular, constructive feedback to maximize positive impact of individual team member’s/talents
  • Ensure the teams are working according to industry leading processes that comply with relevant international quality standards
  • Ensure all key stakeholders have appropriate engagement
  • Leverage influencing skills to challenge & support local markets and functions to get the most value from the Sales Department
  • Lead local and global teams in VSS Centres to ensure single and consistent approach to business integration
  • Ensure appropriate governance is in place to support proactive management of the business: management of business risks, issue resolution and timely performance reporting to support decision making


Specialist Experience

  • Professional English language skills, proficiency in other European languages is an advantage
  • Rounded professional in global B2B sales, field sales/inside sales, with 5 years+ experience with multinational companies
  • 5+ years’ experience in People Management specifically in a global multi-national environment
  • Sound working knowledge of general business processes and organisational framework, such as goals, strategy, culture and structure
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills including ability to lead others to a consensus and influence change in a cross functional environment and communicate across all levels of the organization
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written; able to express complex ideas in simple terms
  • Superior problem solving skills; ability to break a problem or opportunity down into sub-components; identify root causes and drivers; use creative thinking skills in developing alternative solutions
  • Strength of character -  creates a positive impact, comes across as  enthusiastic and committed presence, impact, clarity of communication, challenger, considered
  • Graduate Degree at the minimum; MSc or MBA preferred
