About the Role

We’re looking for an all-star S&P associate to join the Latam Strategy & Planning Community Operations Team, which is responsible for providing customer support to all Uber customers and partners (e.g., riders, drivers, eaters, restaurants). This role will help with the planning & tracking of our operations in Latam and will also contribute to develop the governance of the team, goal setting, alignment strategies and project prioritization.

Additionally, you will develop high impact communications to communicate strategic plans and visions, report on weekly/monthly/quarterly results and opportunities, author strategic initiatives, explore complex business issues, organize key strategic meetings with different teams, and develop respective action plans.

This is a high-visibility position that interacts with a broad stakeholder group. This exciting role requires a superior, self-directed individual with strong attention to detail, great organizational skills, and the ability to meet tight deadlines. The successful candidate will be process-oriented and highly self-motivated with a strong sense of initiative, anticipating needs and driving process improvement.

What You’ll Do

  • Planning and forecasting -- work closely with functional leaders in Community Operations, Finance, and other stakeholders to manage planning, budgeting, and headcount. Help us understand our business and opportunities
  • Scale and transition from startup to mature enterprise - we need the best people on board to help us refine our planning processes, and ensure methodologies and accountability are spread throughout the organization
  • Coordinate with other sub-teams within the broader Strategy & Planning team, other teams within Community Operations, and stakeholders across the business (e.g., Central Operations, Product, Marketing, Finance)
  • Help drive requirements and implementation for planning and business intelligence systems
  • Special projects / ad hoc analyses - new initiatives, products, risks and opportunities are constantly arising
  • Identify operational weaknesses and help improve or innovate new processes to keep our organization as efficient as possible as we scale to meeting growing demand
  • Develop high profile communications and presentations targeted to Commops' leadership

Specialist Experience

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Minimum 4 years of finance, strategy consulting, strategy, planning or related experience is expected, but we will consider candidates with less experience if they meet our other requirements
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to self-serve, investigate, and get the data needed for leadership to make decisions
  • Exceptional Excel / data skills
  • Critical thinking -- while this is a finance role, the ability to understand strategic business drivers will be essential
  • Team player -- this is a highly collaborative and supportive function
  • Balance attention to detail with swift follow through -- we need to do things quickly, and we need to do them well

Bonus Points if

  • MBA
  • Consulting or investment banking experience
  • Experience with startup / high-growth operations
  • Customer service experience
  • SQL proficiency
  • Accounting qualifications
