Small and Medium Business Marketing, Lead (English, Korean)

Job Description

Whether you're on a consumer product (like Gmail, Search, Maps, Chrome, Android) or a business product (Google Ads, AdSense, Google Marketing Platform, Analytics), you take part in a complete marketing experience as you lead every facet of the product's journey. From determining positioning, naming, competitive analysis, feature prioritization and external communications, you help shape the voice of the product and help it grow a consumer base. This means you work with a cross-functional team across Sales, corporate communications, legal, webmasters, product development, engineering and more. In this role, you'll be involved with product marketing strategy from beginning to end.

As the Small and Medium Business (SMB) Marketing, Lead, Korea, you'll lead a team that plans and executes high-touch and scaled marketing activities focusing on customer acquisition and growth across fast growing Korea market. You will oversee the positioning and promoting of Google's business products (Google Ads and beyond) to achieve measurable business results across multiple channels. Your end goal will be to recruit medium and small advertisers through efficient programs and campaigns designed to increase awareness, educate the market and drive product adoption. You'll use a broad range of marketing tactics including large-scale events, trainings, paid media campaigns, research, social, content marketing and more. You will work as an integral part of a cross-functional team spanning Sales, Customer Support, Product Development, PR, Legal and more to contribute to Google's overall positioning in the business market in Korea.

Responsibilities

  • Define marketing strategies and tactics to engage customers and partners around Google’s SMB advertising products, working in close cooperation with regional and global Marketing teams applying best practices for B2B advertiser acquisition at Google.
  • Build annual plans for the business working closely with cross-functional partners based on an understanding of customer, product and channel development and opportunities for innovation.
  • Design, execute and analyze impact of marketing programs to achieve business goals and optimizing opportunities.
  • Act as a Marketing leader and Korea advocate across Google, and establish close partnership with sales stakeholders and teams.
  • Manage and coach a team consisting of a Product Marketing Manager and Marketing Specialists responsible for individual customer acquisition programs and channels.

Specialist Experience

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of relevant B2B/B2C marketing, sales, business development or consulting experience.
  • Ability to speak and write in English and Korean fluently and idiomatically.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA or Master's degree in a related field.
  • People management experience, along with excellent stakeholder management and interpersonal skills, and the ability to engage directly with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Track record working across complex cross-functional environments with demonstrated ability to make strategic decisions that drive business impact.
  • Understanding of online advertising ecosystem in Korea.
  • Excellent execution and problem-solving skills, resourcefulness and attention to detail.
