VCPP and MSP Business Development Manager

Job Description

• To develop and manage Service Provider partners to drive the Public Cloud Business for VMware in Hong Kong Region

• To work closely with Cloud Partners (develop new and grow existing) and Aggregators to run the Cloud Partner Program and own the VCPP business

• Be able to build and maintain relationships across Organizations be it Partner Heads, Business heads as appropriate

• Conduct business cadence and review state of business with partners and aggregators

• Responsible for VSPP quota achievement for assigned territories

• Reporting to VCPP Regional leader


• Development and execution of strategies and programs to include specific revenue & transactional goals, Partner recruitment, Partner enablement and Partner marketing goals and activities for the Cloud Services market

• Defining lead generation and sales targets with Service Providers, in line with organization’s focus areas and ensuring that quarterly sales targets through VSPP partners are consistently exceeded

• Assisting with the development of Cloud Partner business plans, problem resolution, relationship development, and coordination of sales and technical resource allocation

• Work in close collaboration with Field Sales Team

• Regular reviews with Partners resulting in a detailed understanding of the status of significant accounts and deals in the region

• Manage , build and own Biz plans with VSPP aggregators with clearly defined quarterly targets and grow the business thru these aggregators

• Establishing and growing VMware expertise within the VMware partner ecosystem and strengthen VMware market share and market place defensibility


Specialist Experience

• Degree level education BS or BA level, MBA preferred

• 15+  years previous Channel sales or Business development experience in a high technology industry, exposure and experience of working in or with Public cloud or Service Provider organizations essential

• Strong Channel management experience would be an added advantage

• Demonstrated track record of sales or partner experience in Public Cloud/Service Provider organizations

• Proven track record of exceeding sales goals

• Strong team player, able to work effectively across teams to deliver desired outcomes and set targets

• Excellent long term relationship builder – must be able to demonstrate quality/duration of business relations

• Strong verbal and written communications skills as well as effective interpersonal skills and presentation skills are required

• Ability to build network across Partner organizations – CXO levels to field level engagement

• Must be self-motivated and directed, have strong follow up skills and pay close attention to detail

• A self-starter, energetic, enthusiastic and highly motivated

• Be flexible to travel for business as required
