Principal Product Manager, EU Delivery Experience

Job Description

Delivery is getting faster and more convenient for online shoppers around the globe. The opportunity and challenge for a Delivery Experience Principal Product Manager is to ensure Amazon's core delivery offers are sharp and appealing to a wide range of customer segments in a broad set of countries. How many speeds should we offer? How fast should each be? How do our offers match up against competitive alternatives? Do different customer segments have different preferences? What differences should there be in delivery experience for remote areas vs. urban ones? These are just some of the questions for this product manager to tackle.

This role is based in Luxembourg where you will help shape the future delivery experience for our EU customers.

In this role you will define features and processes, drive projects end-to-end, collaborate with technical teams to implement solutions, and deeply analyze the results. You'll drive frequent experiments where there's an opportunity to learn but proceed cautiously when decisions have big implications and would be hard to change. With stakeholders across the company across retail, technology, and operations, you'll have frequent opportunities to influence significant decisions.

The scope for this role includes:
· Ownership of the delivery experience and measures of success.
· Work closely with designers and engineers to drive feature definition and implementation.
· Prioritize product feature backlog as part of agile software development.
· Understand and manage financial levers, such as revenue, shipping costs, and contribution profit.
· Simplify complex topics for broad audiences.
· Build collaborative relationships with leadership in Retail, Fulfillment by Amazon, Marketplace, and Operations.
· Lead, plan, and conduct periodic business reviews with Amazon executive leadership.
· Responsible for the leadership and oversight of projects that impact Customers worldwide.



Specialist Experience


· 8-10 years product management and/or business leadership experience, preferably with an online focus
· Operations experience
· MBA or advanced degree in engineering, supply chain management, mathematics, computer science or related areas.
· Demonstrable data-driven decision-making and strong quantitative analysis skills
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to simplify complex topics for broad audiences
· Independent and Entrepreneurial showing the ability to work with minimal direction
· Experience with SQL in a Big Data environment


· Demonstrated ability to manage multiple sophisticated projects and competing priorities simultaneously
· Proven track record of delivering results in large, cross-functional initiatives
· Thrives in a high-energy, fast-paced environment where tactical and strategic initiatives are driven in parallel
