Credit Analyst

- This individual will support global underwriters in setting up their accounts in the AIG system, gathering information of buyers, inputting financial statements into spreadsheets and performing credit analysis to identify risk and ensure accounts receivable are secured against bankruptcy or insolvency.
- Will also have the responsibility to recommend Obligor Risk Rating (ORR) in adherence to AIG’s internal ratings methodologies.
- Clients range from SMEs, middle market corporates to public and multinational Fortune 100 companies.
- Will also work directly with Global Credit Officers based in UK, Europe, NY and APAC.

Specialist Experience

- Has 3-5 yrs. experience in Corporate Credit Analysis preferably gained from banks, insurance companies or other financial institutions. Experience in presenting accounts to Credit Committee is preferred.
- Credit-trained (i.e. Credit Management Training Programs) from banks and similar financial institutions is preferred.
- Portfolio of accounts should be largely corporates and SMEs. Handling multinational corporations is preferred.
- Highly analytical - able to assess and analyze trends and changes involving profitability, liquidity, leverage and credit histories and identify risks related to industry, management and contingencies.
- Bachelor's Degree in business or accounting. CPA, CFA and MBA preferred.
- Adept  and knowledgeable with financial statements, company annual reports, 10Ks and 10Qs
- Has excellent communication (written and oral) skills
- Has keen attention to detail
- Customer-focused, adaptable to change and able to multi-task
- Proficient computer skills (MS Office applications)
