Job Description

Deutsche Telekom Pan-Net s.r.o. designs, operates and steers the joint pan-European network ("Pan-Net") of Deutsche Telekom. The company is a member of the Deutsche Telekom Group with head quarter in Bratislava and locations in Europe. Deutsche Telekom PanNet is building the capabilities for Deutsche Telekom’s future centralized production platform across Europe. This production factory consists of Infrastructure (network, data centers), Operations, IT, NFVI, Security and Testing functions. The PF is an innovative approach to integrated production of services for Deutsche Telekom’s European NatCos. Services are produced based on modular and reusable building blocks with standardized interfaces towards national companies of DT.  Pan Net aims at a lean production model with efficient processes and a close integration of development and operations. The PanNet production factory is looking for candidates with a start-up mentality that are equally able to support the initial setup with the necessary flexibility and to define a sustainable target organization based on the key production principles of Pan Net.

 

 

 

 

 

Job description:

  • Acts as a central program management for the PanNet Production Factory
  • Support the development of the production factory strategy and roadmap across infrastructure centers
  • Provides operative guidelines and directives for effective implementation of Pan-Net strategy across PF
  • Defines and implemements agile methodology as common standard for the development within the production factory
  • Plan, organize and manage PF weekly calls and PF campuses/WS
  • Coordination within the PF related to Pan-Net/PAN IP campuses/WS
  • Coordinates and manage centralized PF education plan
  • Defines reporting standards and methodolgy

 

 

 

Key Performance Indicators / Key responsibilities and deliverables:

  • Production Factory milestones set up
  • Successful and on time completion of Production Factory milestones and status reporting

 

Specialist Experience

Education:

  • University degree in related area: Business administration (MBA), Telecommunication Engineering or related field.

 

Professional knowledge, skills, know-how in the field & experience in the field:

  • More than 5 years’ experience in the domain of program management, strategy or consulting of a fixed or mobile operator
  • More than 5 years experience leading diverse programs for telecommunication operators – preferably in the infrastructure area
  • Understaning of Deutsche Telekom’s PanIP transformation program – preferably in the area of operations

 

Language skills:

  • English language – fluent (excellent verbal and written communication skills)

 

Managerial skills / competences:

  • Personell leadership compentency
  • Strong people development skills, especially for developing employees in the technology area
  • Experienced in manageing complex tasks and very good judgement to delegate tasks for efficient execution

 

Interpersonal, communication skills:

  • Excellent team player and motivator
  • Clear, consistent and direct communication
  • Ability to give and receive open feedback

 

Other soft skills, competences:

  • Conflict management and moderation
  • High level of customer orientation
  • Innovative and design thinking
  • Analytical and strategic thinking

 

Hard skills:

  • Agile methodology (e.g. Scrum) and its application to Telcos
  • Good understanding of relevant process frameworks for Telcos, e.g. ITIL and/or eTOM
  • Good understanding of all the core technology areas of the production factory: IT/OSS, data center and cloud technologies and IP networks
