Project Manager, Division Commercial Programs

Major Responsibilities: • Manages multiple projects with CDT’s strategic customers across multiple regions. • Leads cross functional teams and work with customers to execute projects to support business topline by differentiating Corning within the marketplace: o identification of new value capture opportunities covering both product and service for today and future o development of customer offerings by leveraging existing division programs and initiative by launching of new initiatives o value capture through supporting pricing initiatives, internal cost reduction and/or share stickiness o Support other projects under Commercial Programs department as needed Daily Responsibilities: • Defines and executes an overall project plan, including financial and people resources that allows the project to scale appropriately to meet objectives and remain within budget • Drives the project’s progress, reconfirms the project’s value to the business periodically, and recommends the progression (or elimination) of the program to leadership, as appropriate • Constantly monitors for changes in customer requirements/scope or other assumptions and determines the impact on the project strategy, business case, business model, predicted level of risk, resource requirements, speed, and value proposition • Works with customers to keep them engaged, to manage the scope of the program, and to interpret their perception of the our engagement • Sets key program messages and manages the information flow related to program direction, issues, needs, and progress with key program constituencies including business leadership, corporate leadership, customers, and team members • Develops and manages a compelling business case and value proposition as needed • Identifies and secure commercial, technical, and manufacturing levers to improve the project deliverables • Identifies and develop potential opportunities of strategic control, ensures that intellectual property is protected • Utilizes Corning's innovation process as appropriate to direct program activities 

Specialist Experience

Qualifications: Experience: • 7+ years of industry experience in Business-to-Business global technology markets • Proven record of strategic thinking and program/project management • On current position more than 1 year Required Skills: • Project Management/Leadership • Ability to lead cross functional team (research, development, engineering, manufacturing, commercial) in resolution of problems and execution of strategy • Ability to interact with customers and translate customer dynamics into strategic and tactical decisions • Ability to make decision by blending analytical thinking with practical judgment in a face paced and high uncertainty environment • Entrepreneurial/self-starter attitude; independent problem solving and development of approach to solutions • Communication skills both formal and informal; ability to articulate clear direction, risks and project purpose across multiple organizational levels (from management to project team) • Systems understanding and impact on quantification of value proposition • Able to track and manage spending, revenue, resources & schedule • Proficient use of Microsoft Office Tools (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Project) Education: • BS in Engineering, Science or Business Desired Skills: • Experience in LCD industry • MBA or equivalent education • Financial skills in the creation and evaluation of potential business strategies • English/Mandarin language fluency Other Information: • Up to 25% international/domestic travel at times depending on the projects
