Job Description

Business Applications Domain team is responsible for developing and leading a highly skilled regional team that can support both pre-sales and delivery efforts for the Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement.   Business Applications Domain is a strategic business for Microsoft that is experiencing increasing EMEA and global demand and the need for a specialized selling/delivery team. Business Applications Domain plays a critical role in helping to drive adoption and productive use of Dynamics 365 for Operations by leveraging a centrally managed, highly skilled and agile pool of resources with deep subject matter expertise. 


With a large market opportunity for building and deploying Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement services, the Business Applications Domain will play a key role in helping expand Microsoft's market share in the CRM market with enterprise customers and partners. To support this growth, the Business Applications Architect Manager for the EMEA will drive the development, leadership, and management of a regional team covering the EMEA region, including Western Europe and MEA. Business Applications Architect Manager will need to have the rare combination of strong business, people and project management skills, technical expertise, field experience, customer empathy, and excellent cross group collaboration skills. The person in this role will have the opportunity to build a services business and lead the success of a key growth area for Microsoft by working closely with the EMEA Business Applications Domain Pursuit and Delivery Managers, Account Aligned sales and services counterparts, and BG.




The role of the Architect Manager is to grow, develop, coach, mentor and lead the Architects he/she manages, in order to execute their pre-sales and delivery mission. Continual focus must be on leading and coaching delivery teams whilst ensuring collaboration occurs at every step of the lifecycle. Architects in Services must be capable of maintaining executive presence and influence, coupled with excellent situational awareness, to ensure that our partnership with customers is visible at the C-level   to ensure successful CRM implementations.   


Architect Managers also develop their own management skills through active participation in Management Excellence events, training, mentoring and communities. This person will also work directly with Domain Managers, regional Business Group, Enterprise and Partner Group, and Services leadership to jointly grow Dynamics Business Applications   in the EMEA.


Specialist Experience

· Candidates must have extensive (10+ years) of enterprise CRM project experience.   Deep experience in Microsoft platform technologies is strongly preferred.   Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Customer Management is an advantage, but not required.   


· The successful candidate will have strong business acumen, excellent analytical, problem solving, project and people management skills, and a demonstrated track record delivering complex projects to enterprise customers   


· Experience in leading a field services practice and proven track record of driving revenue attainment and delivery excellence.


· Capable of global leadership and reaching out to the appropriate global community to drive the practice success.


· Capable of flourishing in a virtual/matrix setting; working closely with EPG, BG, and Services counterparts to drive to the Domain goals. 


· Excellent written & verbal communications, experience with persuading CxO level audiences, and a desire to work in fast paced environment are also required. The ideal candidate will be a successful team and solution builder with leadership qualities, strong attention to detail, and an innovative self-starter who is

motivated by results. 




- 10+ years of consulting management or closely related professional services role.

- 10+ years' experience in CRM-related solution development and delivery of which 5+ years should be at the enterprise level. 

- Domain expertise in technology consulting and/or professional services.   

- Microsoft Consulting field knowledge highly desired. 

- Consulting start-up experience a plus. 

- Technical or equivalent work experience required with a proven record of building highly

skilled and competent teams. In addition, should have achieved consistent results around effective budget management, personnel management and revenue


- Bachelor's degree in Business or Computer Science required with MBA preferred. 

- People management experience required.
