Brand Lead Reslizumab

Job Description



The Brand Lead Reslizumab will be responsible for the development and delivery of the European launch strategy for Reslizumab.

Reslizumab is a highly innovative anti-IL-5 monoclonal antibody that demonstrated clear levels of efficacy in patients with inadequately controlled moderate to severe asthma with elevated levels of blood eosinophils. Reslizumab is a strategic asset in the TEVA respiratory franchise which is built around an exciting combination of market leading molecules and a highly innovative molecule and inhalers.

Working with the Head of Respiratory Europe, the Brand Lead will responsible for ensuring that the optimal commercial launch strategy is in place for Reslizumab across all European markets with the objective to maximise opportunities and driving a successful market penetration. He/she will be managing multiple projects and work closely with the Global Brand team and with all relevant functions within Teva (market access, medical affairs, commercial excellence, patient services) as well as all the European country organisations.


  • Lead the development and delivery of Reslizumab’s EU commercial launch strategy and tactical plan (marketing, market access, pricing, business model, commercial excellence, KOL management, medical, LCM)
  • Work closely with and support the Global Brand team by ensuring European input and needs are fully embedded in the global brand strategy
  • Lead the European Brand cross-functional Team by ensuring full alignment on strategy, objectives, plans and deliverables
  • Develop the product positioning in close cooperation with the Global Brand team
  • Ensure effective and timely roll-out of Reslizumab commercial strategy to all European countries including pre-launch campaign
  • Lead the development of launch promotional/ marketing and sales materials
  • Guide local countries in preparing the local launch plan based on the European launch plan
  • Build relationships with key opinion leaders (one-on-one, advisory board)
  • Provide commercial input into development of clinical studies to support the brand
  • Support pricing and reimbursement strategy
  • Control and plan distribution (supply chain) and sales results
  • Define and manage the promotional/ marketing budget
  • Lead Reslizumab business review workshops with selected affiliates within the European region
  • Continuous monitoring of performance and execution of marketing/commercial strategies on country level against plans and budgets
  • Organize training material and training courses for marketing & sales staff in local affiliates
  • Organize presence in major European scientific symposia and congresses
  • Spread immunology scientific and market knowledge across European and countries organizations
  • Work with colleagues in each market, R&D, Medical, Portfolio, Registration, Business Development and other business areas within Teva as required



Specialist Experience



  • Master degree in Medical, Life Sciences or other related area; ideally with an additional marketing qualification or MBA
  • Proven experience (5-8 years) in specialist product marketing and/or medical in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry  (Biologics, Anti TNFs, Mab preferred)
  • In-depth international knowledge of the Respiratory market
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing marketing strategies that lead to sustainable growth
  • Prior experience with branded product launches within Secondary Care
  • Creative marketing capabilities together with rigorous commercial business acumen
  • Network in the pharmaceutical industry with ability to establish, maintain and influence effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Track record of successfully managing across functional areas within an international environment and working collaboratively to produce optimal results.
  • Strong influencing skills
  • Fluent English speaker, additional language skills would be an advantage.
  • History of successful goal attainment.
