Regional Leader, Nordics

Job Description

Due to our continued growth across the EMEA region, we are currently looking to bring on board an exceptional sales leader to further strengthen Splunk’s position across Nordics. The successful candidate will have a measurable track record in building and managing high performing sales organizations delivering sustainable double-digit growth.

Responsibilities: I want to and can do that!

  • Full accountability for setting and executing a long-term growth strategy for the Nordics region
  • Directly manage the sales team and work closely with assigned technical resources and Inside Sales
  • Consistently deliver aggressive license, support and service revenue targets – commitment to the number and to deadlines
  • Effectively grow the Team and create fair territories - ensure everyone has a significant opportunity to over-achieve
  • Negotiate pricing and business terms with large commercial enterprises by selling value and ROI
  • Identify and put in place ways to work with partners for maximum effectiveness
  • Leverage sales engineering and in-house as well as partner services resources
  • Exceptionally strong coach, hands on with the team; very involved in account planning, strategy and sales calls
  • Lead from the front – be able to do everything that you expect your team to do – set the pace
  • Hire exceptional talent who are incredibly bright, are extremely coachable and have the ability to unlearn and relearn
  • Execute our sales methodology and processes while adding your own style and magic
  • Collaborate with both international and domestic colleagues to expand deal size and value to the customer
  • Create an environment for people to have the greatest success and most fun in their entre career
  • Good corporate citizen – two-way flow of relevant and timely information; work as a Team for the most efficient use and deployment of resources
  • Provide timely and insightful input back to other corporate functions, particularly Product Management and Marketing

 

 
 

Specialist Experience

  • Experience in building and running front line sales teams; ability to grow and scale upward with the company; second line management experience a plus
  • Extensive experience in direct and channel selling to large enterprises in the Nordics region
  • Possess an executive presence and be very comfortable and influence at the “C” suite
  • Track record of structuring, negotiating, and closing seven figure software licensing deals
  • Maintain an accurate and precise sales forecast (ability to forecast at least two quarters ahead) on Salesforce.com
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, high growth, rapidly changing environment
  • Ablility to selfstart and selfmotivate demostarting intititive and proactiveness in achieving targets
  • High personal and professional standards of ethics and integrit
  • Desire and ability to lead, advise, coach and mentor sales professionals through a process of hands on training          
  • Relevant software industry experience in IT systems, enterprise or infrastructure management, Business intelligence and big data

 
Education: Got it!
Bachelor's degree; MBA would be an advantage.
